Krishna Snail

Description: Baby Krishna represented as a snail. Based on one of the stories of Krishna as a child stealing ghee (butter). In the story Krishna breaks open jars full of butter and is scolded by his mother. in this image i used the butter to also be the slick of goo a snail leaves behind... I have to add that recently this tattoo is being protested by a Hindu group saying it is a disrespectful image. I'd have to say I disagree considering the love I put into this tattoo and the passion I have for Hindu religious artwork and mythology. The protestors are demanding that I not only take down this picture, but that I never again depict any of their gods or deities in a tattoo. Well.... I'm not going to take this picture down... and thats that.
