Our Artists

Bridget Punsalang

Bridget enjoys a variety of tattoo styles, mostly nature-based or illustrative. She is most known for vibrant high-contrast color work as well as henna style dotwork inspired by her nearly 13 years as a professional henna artist.

She is normally very heavily booked (currently about one year in advance), so be sure to plan well in advance. Her schedule is currently closed to new clients, likely re-opening for 2017 booking in the summer of 2016.

Michael Ransom Backus

I am a painter and professional tattooer, specializing in American Traditional and Neo-traditional tattoos, based out of Saratoga Springs, New York. I am always interested in travel and guest spots.

Matt Mrowka is a professional artist creating custom tattoos at Needlewurks in upstate NY, and oil paintings from his home studio in the woods.  His work is intensely driven by imagination, while maintaining an obsessive focus on dynamic light and atmosphere.  Matt has recieved numerouse awards in gallery and convention settings across the northeast, and is vehemently greatful to all the clients who have helped him craft a living out of his compulsion to create art.

I started tattooing in 2014, and I've been an artist for 15 years. I'm a watercolor and oil painter, though I've always loved to experiment with different art forms, and that has helped me develop a style through the years that I can now bring to tattooing.  I like to make bold, illustrative tattoos, and I like both color and black and grey.

I am a custom tattoo artist and painter from upstate New york. I enjoy all styles of art, but prefer to do realism, custom geometric/sacred geometry, Japanese and Buddhist themed artwork. If your interested in setting up an appointment I'm usually in the shop Tue-Sat from 12-8pm

Piercers

I entered the body piercing industry in September of 2014 at Needlewurks tattoo and piercing studio in saratoga springs,  ny. As an apprentice under both Paul Brumley and Michael Backus. Both seasoned vets in the trade.

I am a body modification enthusiast with lots of personal experience on the subject matter. Passion is what drives me. To do my absolute best every piercing. As a practitioner I offer a safe, professional (and most important), a clean and comfortable environment for our clients.  I naturally have a very calm demeanor which allows me to provide excellent bedside manner. It's my duty to make sure that the client has a full understanding of what to expect before, during, and after each piercing session. Each client is provided with instructions for after care both verbally and in written form to give thorough understanding.

I strongly encourage follow up appointments to check up on how the client is healing.

I am extremely grateful to be working in this field and love what I do. Come by, get a piercing or pick out cool new jewelry and let us guide you through everything in a nice, calm and personal manner.
