Mason has been an artist his entire life. A jack of all trades, he started body piercing over ten years ago. In 2007 when the economy crashed, Mason looked for a new way to invest his time. Determined to succeed in the industry he opened up his first tattoo shop. After opening he quickly realized that owning a tattoo shop was not enough. Mason wanted to learn to tattoo and began teaching him self immediately. He prides himself now on having a tattoo shop filled with artists that have a desire to constantly push each other to reach higher levels. His tattoo shop is filled with a positive learning atmosphere where all are welcome. A lot of the body art in the Blue Tattoo Cafe is a collaborative effort where all the artist give and receive feedback on body art during the tattoo process. While learning to tattoo Mason also tackled the task of learning to do permanent make up. He eventually went on to study permanent make up with world renown permanent make up artist Susan Church.
