Mason

Mason has been an artist his entire life. A jack of all trades, he started body piercing over ten years ago. In 2007 when the economy crashed, Mason looked for a new way to invest his time. Determined to succeed in the industry he opened up his first tattoo shop. After opening he quickly realized that owning a tattoo shop was not enough. Mason wanted to learn to tattoo and began teaching him self immediately. He prides himself now on having a tattoo shop filled with artists that have a desire to constantly push each other to reach higher levels. His tattoo shop is filled with a positive learning atmosphere where all are welcome. A lot of the body art in the Blue Tattoo Cafe is a collaborative effort where all the artist give and receive feedback on body art during the tattoo process. While learning to tattoo Mason also tackled the task of learning to do permanent make up. He eventually went on to study permanent make up with world renown permanent make up artist Susan Church. If you are interested in receiving any services from Mason, feel free to call or drop by the tattoo shop any time.

George Bishop

I’m George Bishop, 31 years old. I was born and raised in New Jersey and have been living in California about ten years now. I performed my first tattoo with a single needle homemade machine when I was 18 and loved it! I’ve been hooked to it ever since.

Five years ago my awesome wife Jennifer surprised me with a tattoo kit for Christmas. I taught myself how to use the professional machine with my very own two legs. I noticed these machines were a hundred times easier than the homemade single needle machines I grew up with.

In 2011 I went to Blue Tattoo Café and met Mason. I showed him my portfolio and drawings and he was impressed enough to give me an apprenticeship. I was already tattooing my friends by the third day.

Having an artistic background since childhood helps me to be confident with every tattoo I perform. I love being apart of the industry and have a blast getting to meet many new clients every day. Its music to my ears hearing how happy I’ve made somebody with a tattoo and that I’ve exceeded their expectations. That’s what makes tattooing a labor of love for me.

Tattooing is one of the greatest blessings in my life now. Thanks to God, Jesus, my wife, my mentor Mason, my family and my friends. Tattooing helps me feel better when I’m sick, lifts me up when I’m feeling down and tattoo brings me the greatest joy when it helps the ones I tattoo as well.

God Bless
