This took 4 1/2 hours and was done on 4/24/11
This customer is a truly amazing person and such a vibrant spirit! She was wonderful and fun to work with and I loved doing this tattoo for her has it held a lot of meaning. Her son passed away years ago; at his funeral they released monarch butterflies into the air and shortly after his death he
r sister planted bleeding heart flowers.
She's wanted this tattoo for a long time now, and the day we did this tattoo would have been is sixth birthday, so it held an extra special place in her heart. She and her sister came in and Kelly Doty tattooed her own version of this idea (which you can see here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1936340135660&set=a.1747920185279.99858.1457044551&type=1&theater ) on her sister at the same time.
I love doing memorial tattoos like this and would love to do more flower tattoos, as well of course!
