Did this one for the Hope Gallery show "Heroes and Villains" back in December. When I was little I loved The Muppets and everything Jim Henson did; he's definitely one of my heroes. before doing this painting I had come to the realization that Rowlf was most definitely made in homage to Tom Waits (much like Animal is an Homage to Keith Moon). Love Tom Waits almost as much as I love Jim Henson (also Tom Waits has played many movie villains over the years) so I felt this mash-up was appropriate to the theme of the show.
