The dreaded coverup of the coverup. This is Penelope the owl, she destroyed that horrible feather tattoo. Trish got lucky and was able to get an awesome coverup that worked perfectly. I ONLY do coverup work for established customers, and ONLY if they have an awesome idea that will also work well.
Many tattoos have no hope for a succesful coverup, but some people will do them anyways, thus making an even bigger mess. If you are unfortunate enough to be in that situa...tion, get lasered, don't settle for something you still don't want on the chance you may be able to mask your hated tattoo. Or have some hack do your coverup because he is the only one that will agree to do it. I turn down plenty of coverups, If I tell you to get it lasered, it is because it needs it. There is a TV show on Spike that does unsuccesful coverups all the time. Just because a tattoo looks to work to the untrained eye when it is fresh, doesn't mean it will work at all. Often the old tattoo will show through once healed, or the overall image lends up too dark, or is too much of a compromise in subject matter for the client. And you can't cover black with anything but black, you can only try to mask it.
